GRANT SCHEME FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ACTIVE MOBILITY OR CITIZEN ENGAGMENT MEASURES
An initiative through which funds will be granted for the implementation of projects related to sustainable mobility, with the aim of reducing emissions and providing a better quality of life for residents.
The Authority for Transport in Malta is launching a Grant Scheme targeting all local councils in Malta and Gozo and NGO’S. Through this initiative, funds will be granted for the implementation of projects related to sustainable mobility in their locality with the aim of increasing measures which improves walkability and facilities which increase the uptake of cycling. The main impact is expected to be the reduction of emissions and a better quality of life for the residents.
The budget of €200,000 is being allocated for this Scheme and maximum grant of €20,000 will be provided to each successful applicant. Interested parties are to submit their application on sustainablemobility.tm@transport.gov.mt by not later than the 20th November 2022.
An information session will be held on Monday 3rd October at 14.30hrs. Registrations to attend session are to be submitted to sustainablemobility.tm@transport.gov.mt.
