An award to celebrate the achievement of individuals and organisations whose endeavours implement the rights for persons with disability. On a national level, Government is obliged to show its appreciation towards those who strive to ensure an inclusive society where persons with disability and their significant others experience accessibility and independent living conditions
The Evaluation Board for Premju Soċjetà Ġusta 2022 is
accepting nominations according to the guidelines in this document.
Applications are to be submitted to the Ministry for Inclusion and Social Wellbeing, 89, Palazzo Francesco, Sir Ugo Mifsud Street, Lija. Applications may be collected from the same offices or from the website www.inclusion.gov.mt.
Applications close on the 7th of October 2022 at noon. Late applications shall not be considered.
1. Concept of the Award
This Award Ceremony is a celebration of the hard work and
dedication of several individuals and organisations in the disability sector.
This annual event also forms part of the Week dedicated to Disability.
The scope behind this award ceremony is to celebrate the
achievement of individuals and organisations whose endeavours implement the
rights for persons with disability. On a national level, Government is obliged
to show its appreciation towards those who strive to ensure an inclusive
society where persons with disability and their significant others experience
accessibility and independent living conditions.
A – Lifetime Achievement Award in the Disability Sector
This Award recognises an individual whose efforts
contributed towards exceptional delivery which left an impact on the disability
sector.
B – Award for the strengthening of rights of persons with
disability
This Award recognises an individual or non-governmental
organisation whose contribution left an impact on the promotion of rights for
persons with disability.
C – Premju Soċjetà Ġusta
This Award recognises an individual with disability whose
qualities made a significant positive impact in this sector.
D – Award for Active Participation in Sports, Arts and
Culture
This Award recognises an individual or non-governmental
organisation who made a significant impact and had direct involvement in the
fields of sports.
E – Award for Active Participation in Arts and Culture
This Award recognises an individual or non-governmental
organisation who made a significant impact and had direct involvement in the
fields of arts and culture
F – Award for Most Inclusive Employer
This Award recognises employers who offer opportunities for
persons with disability. Such employers should be implementing practices which
are beyond the requirements necessary by law.
G – Award for the voluntary organisation that worked towards
achieving inclusion
This Award recognises non-governmental voluntary
organisation who made a significant impact and had direct involvement towards
achieving inclusion.
