Be Active Scheme

The primary objective of this scheme is for Aġenzija Żgħażagħ to continue to help Voluntary Youth Organisations to learn, develop, plan, implement and evaluate initiatives.

The Be Active scheme is part of the Aġenzija Żgħażagħ’s grant aid to Voluntary Youth Organisations. The primary objective of this scheme is for Aġenzija Żgħażagħ to continue to help Voluntary Youth Organisations to learn, develop, plan, implement and evaluate initiatives. Be Active provides Voluntary Youth Organisations with financial assistance to develop projects and initiatives for those who use their services and the wider community.

Voluntary Youth Organisations are invited to develop a project related to a number of priority topics. Voluntary Youth Organisations are given support throughout the implementation of the initiative. However, the initiative must be designed and developed by the group itself. Financial assistance for each initiative is granted up to a maximum of €4,000.

The proposals for this scheme are selected according to a number of criteria including;

  1. Relevance to the theme/s indicated on the proposal
  2. Coherency and flow of proposal
  3. The active participation of young people
  4. Impact, Multiplier effect and Follow up
  5. Visibility
  6. Link to the National Youth Policy
  7. Realistic Budget
