The primary objective of the BOOST scheme is to empower
Voluntary Youth Organisations to improve the quality of their engagement with
young people. This is achieved by fostering a culture of continuous reflection
and improvement. The scheme supports the implementation of the “Self-Assessment Tool for
Quality Work with Young People – A Framework by Youth Organisations”.
This tool is a guideline for organisations to evaluate and
enhance their practices.
The scheme's support aims to facilitate investments directly contributing to improving quality practices in youth work. By using the Self-Assessment Tool, organisations can identify areas for growth and develop strategies to address them, ensuring that their work with young people is adequate, relevant, and impactful. The tool encourages a structured approach to self-evaluation, promoting accountability and a commitment to ongoing development in youth work practices.
Financial assistance for each initiative can be granted up to a maximum of € 3,000 (inclusive of VAT). For a Voluntary Youth Organisation to be eligible to apply for this scheme, it must be registered with Aġenzija Żgħażagħ and comply with the eligibility criteria. Besides, Voluntary Youth Organisations must be offering a service to young people.
