Education and Purchase of a Musical Instrument Fund 2020

The Fund for the purchase and learning of a musical instrument is intended to assist local musical societies in making the cultural and artistic sector more accessible to everyone, and provide a platform for young people to grow their musical talent in order to preserve the traditions and culture in our local community.

The Ministry for Justice, Culture and Local Government, through the Malta Arts Council and in collaboration with the Band Clubs Association launched a new fund that targets the purchase and learning of musical instruments for the Malta Band Society.

Such initiatives by Musical Societies make the cultural and artistic sector more accessible for everyone and provide the platform for our youth, in the discovery of their talents.

This fund will co-finance musical instruments that are purchased for use by band players who are registered with the applicant Society. The fund will cover up to 85% of the total cost of the project, and the proposal needs to include a detailed and realistic program, the name and experience details of the tutor, along with details of the learning material covered.
