Voluntary Experience: Having always loved the Maltese countryside and cultural heritage, I was part of the initial set-up of the Ramblers Association of Malta, founded by the late Lino Bugeja in 2005. The initial aim of the association was to protect the local countryside and safeguard access to public paths. Very soon I also started to lead countryside walks for our members. At various times, I was walk leader, walks programme coordinator, secretary and vice president. I am currently a walk leader and member of the committee. In April 2022, I was nominated to represent the Environmental NGOs on the Planning Authority Board, in accordance with CAP.552, Art 63(2)(e), which role I have successfully filled for the last three years, to the satisfaction of the ENGOs.
